“ I’m going to speak my mind, so this won’t take very long. Some people become cops because they want to make the world a better place. Some people become vandals because they want to make the world a better looking place. ”
Banksy (via mallorysea)
(a piece of creative writing from a collection I’ve been working on)
“She’s got boyfriend and I’ve got rock band.”
He reads someone else’s words back to himself, then thinks again.
“I’ve been through this. Nothing will really catch me by surprise, I swear. Car crash, losing a friend, losing a lover, even feeling helpless. Which is strange, because the lack of feeling can feel….empowering.”
He writes to preserve his mind. Or degrade it. Nobody really knows how this will turn out.
He writes to preserve,
To keep you hanging on every word,
Just to have the power to let you go like this,
All at once, you won’t be missed.
Descend through my ascending thoughts,
Don’t tell me im something im not, and
But don’t waste too much time because you’ll hit bottom,
Remember when you sold me lines and I bought ‘em?
You made me a CD, yeah right at 17,
You might have made my summer but you made me bitter,
Looking back “I say why was I with her?”
I cant go back, yeah can’t reconsider
But I got a new one, yeah gonna stick with her.
They say you gotta let go but I feel fine,
Line after line of insincere rhyme
Not out of, indeed inside my mind
Descend through my thoughts once more, try to climb
Nothing but happiness now is what you’ll find
After it happened I felt helpless but look where you are
You can’t even remember and I cant forget your car
Doesn’t mean shit to me now, I really cant afford
To reminisce over every fucking silver Accord.
He reads his own writing. “It seems bitter,” he says. He was never really gifted with words, only ever with spontaneous thoughts that he decided to save away for later. “Maybe one day it’ll be a song,” he says. Questions arise in his mind but then sink back down. Things not really worth asking. Things without an answer. His new skateboard is a product of himself, but his writing appears to be the work of another. The opposite is true, but creativity is demolition. Creativity is a chase, between your mind and the common ideas presented to us in 30-second increments and 3-minute songs. Who’s chasing who?
Are such fucking arrogant, selfish assholes who don’t give a damn about anyone other than themselves. I swear. Its like these people have a fucking mirror in front of them all day long and can only think about themselves. And when they do something wrong, its never their fault. Or if they consciously know it is, they won’t show it, they’ll turn the tables and make someone innocent feel bad. Well fuck you. I don’t know how you can have your head up your ass all the fucking time.
Those of you who know me know I’m quite a reserved person. Know I am definitely not one for outbreaks like this. But certain people really just push it. How the fuck can you not know you’re being so conceited, selfish, and really not even funny to everyone in the room? How can you expect a few fake words to fix everything?
I’m not really done but I apologize, good people of Tumblr. Carry on!
Once upon a time when a Blonde was hard up for money, she decided to kidnap a child. So the next day she goes to a nearby playground and when nobody is looking, she pulls a random kid behind a tree and says, “You’re kidnapped, so be quiet and don’t give me any trouble.” The little boy, too startled to say anything stands there in shock. The Blonde then pulls out a note that reads:
I have kidnapped your kid, and if you ever want to see him again, leave $10,000 in a paper bag next to this oak tree by tomorrow afternoon.
-A Blonde
She hands the note to the kid and tells him to give it to his mother. The next day, the blonde finds the bag of money next to the tree with $10,000 in it. Inside is a little note that reads: “Here is the money. How could you do this to a fellow Blonde?”
-HAHA. Best blonde joke I’ve heard in a while!
That you gotta be true to yourself no matter what!
“I can commit to change, if you promise to stay the same.” -THE AUDITION
